Ready to use FBR Iris?

FBR directs taxpayers to Iris for online income-tax returns. Register first if you are a new filer. If you already have an NTN but no login, check the e-enrolment option for registered persons.

Official guidance: FBR — File Income Tax Return. Confirm the applicable tax year and filing requirements before submission.

Before you begin

Your questions, answered.

Where do I file my income tax return?

Use FBR’s Iris portal. First-time filers need to register before filing; an existing registered person without login credentials can use the e-enrolment option.

Can you help with more than salary income?

You can discuss business, freelance and rental income, along with return preparation, wealth statements and FBR correspondence.

Does a salary calculation submit my return?

No. A calculator provides an estimate. Your return must be prepared and submitted separately through Iris.

What if I cannot access Iris?

Check FBR’s account recovery options. If you already have a registration number, avoid creating a duplicate profile; ask for help recovering access.

What is a wealth statement and who needs to file one?

A wealth statement lists your assets, liabilities and the reconciliation of your income and expenses. Resident individuals filing a return are generally required to submit one alongside it.

What happens if I file my return after the deadline?

Late filing can affect your Active Taxpayer List status and may attract penalties under FBR rules. Speak with an adviser as soon as possible if you have missed a deadline.

Can you help if I have not filed returns for previous years?

Yes. We can review your situation, discuss what is outstanding and help you plan a path to becoming compliant with FBR.
